After years of IVF, we lost our daughter Coco during pregnancy. Grief changed me, but so did what came after.
In time, we were blessed with another little life, Cove. Somewhere between the loss of Coco and the arrival of Cove, Cocove was born.
Coco + Cove. Loss and new life. Two parts of our family's story that changed the way I would live mine.
Coco taught me just how strong a woman's body can be, but also how precious it is. Today, I am a mum to four beautiful children earthside, and I do not take for granted the body that carried me through the most challenging chapters of my life, or the life I now get to live with them.
During those difficult years, movement became one of the ways I found myself again. Showing up for myself was not about chasing a particular body or punishing it. It became a way of honouring it.
With every little bit of strength I built came confidence. Not simply confidence in how I looked, but confidence in what I was capable of.
As I moved at home, I would look down at the not so beautiful weights and equipment around me and wonder, why could the things we move with not be beautiful too?
Why could equipment not inspire movement? Why could something sitting in your home not become that gentle reminder of the promise you made to yourself, today, I will show up for me too.
That idea became Cocove.
I wanted to create pieces you would not want to hide away. Equipment that feels considered in your home, beautiful in your hands and exciting to move with, because sometimes the smallest invitation is enough to get us started.
I live differently now. Movement began as something that carried me through grief, but it became so much more than that. Today I move because I get to. I move for strength, energy, confidence and the gratitude of knowing what my body is capable of.
Cocove may have been born from one of the hardest chapters of my life, but Cocove is not a story about grief. It is a story about what came after it.
Life. Strength. Gratitude. New beginnings. Choosing to show up for yourself through all of them.
My hope is that when you reach for Cocove, it becomes your own reminder, whatever season of life you are in, to honour your body, celebrate what it can do and make space for yourself too.
